Adding Value

This unique free resource for in-house counsel thrives on its active use by registered users and timely appropriate replies by contributing panelists.  Every question or comment submitted by an in-house lawyer and response provided by an expert panelist adds value to the InfoNet service for all participants.  Success requires a cooperative effort.

Importantly, registered in-house counsel can support the growth and enhance the value of the InfoNet by recommending seasoned outside counsel to serve as InfoNet panelists.  Equally, important is the willingness of in-house counsel users to seek new relationships with the law firms and legal suppliers investing their time and dollars to support this valuable service.

Recommend an Expert

As indicated, there is no cost to in-house counsel for this unique resource; however, you must first register to use the InfoNet service and, in registering, you agree to the terms of the InfoNet Users Agreement.

As a registered user, you can use the Discussion Boards for the various Expert Panels and access the materials in the dedicated “reading room” for each legal subject area.

Importantly, as a registered InfoNet user, you also gain the advantage of recommending experienced lawyers to serve as InfoNet panelists.  In this way, you can reward your best outside counsel with the opportunity to participate in the service – and, at the same time, expand and strengthen this resource for all InfoNet users.

Every Expert Panel subsite contains a link to the online form you can use to “Recommend an Expert” by submitting the person's name, contact information and area of expertise.  If you are already a registered user, you can click here to Recommend an Expert now.

Quid Pro Quo

John Wanamaker (1838-1922), a U.S. merchant, religious leader, and significant civic and political figure, is considered by some to be the father of modern advertising. Wanamaker pioneered the concept of the department store, and is credited with inventing the price tag.  He was known for his generosity and often quoted as saying:

"Gratitude takes three forms: a feeling in the heart, an expression in words, and a giving in return.”

_______

There is no price tag on the InfoNet service for corporate in-house counsel.  The attorneys who serve and contribute their knowledge and time as expert panelists believe they are providing a needed and useful resource for in-house lawyers tasked with being “legal generalists.”

Obviously, our expert panelists gain by raising their visibility and having the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise and offer practical suggestions to corporate counsel working for diverse companies across the U.S.  That alone may be enough reward.

Of course, your heartfelt expression of gratitude for information offered by InfoNet panelists that you find valuable will be much appreciated.  Please let our panelists know when you benefit from their responses to your questions.  Also, please feel free to contact panelists directly whenever you feel they can help you further with legal questions or challenging issues you may face.

In addition, we encourage you to engage our panelists to provide legal services you may need.  Give these experts the opportunity to show you what they can deliver in a committed working relationship.

You willingness to express your gratitude and “give in return” will help keep this unique resource available to you and in-house counsel colleagues nationwide.
